It’s all about Matisse

I don’t know what it is about his paintings but every time I see one of them my heart sighs a little. The composition and chosen detail is detached but perfect. As if his view of the world is a greater vision; a higher one that see more clearly and therefore can show us the perfect unknowing balance in everyday life.

This one is called The Red Room. I saw it in person at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and I could not stop being in front of it. First of all it’s quite large, about 6×7 feet, and it’s completely emotionally captivating.

Everything flows and you can feel it in your body. It’s considered Henri Matisse’s masterpiece.
