Ok so the embroidery over photos thing can seem a little gimmicky at times, an original idea picked up by hobbyists and splashed over the internet but hey if the results result, all the power to you. Like with these mindful and elegant designs stitched by the multi–talented Shaun Kardinal. Soothes the soul.
I love how this effect adds an inter-dimensional quality to the pieces. A vision of the unseen perhaps.
Go visit Shaun’s website for more of his work. http://shaunkardinal.com/
What is happening here? Jaws protruding out of dense cakes and animal horns. 8 inch platform heels and luscious, satin-laid flower beds. It’s a bizarro world of intense beauty, danger and I don’t give a fuck-ness; Scott Hove’s ongoing series ‘Cakeland’ everyone.
Scott has an upcoming show in San Francisco. http://cakefangs.com/
Ok, these paintings are what it’s all about. Pushing juxtaposition to new heights by utilizing the generational contrast of bold colours and lighting reminiscent of the romantic period. Her work seems to illustrate the movement of time and the evolution of art in this way, with bursts of pop colour emanating from soft flowing backgrounds.
Or it just reminds me of ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’, which is also cool.

By using found objects and letting her imagination and mania guide her, Magnhild Kennedy forges these ghostly masks that conceal the personality, yet seem to have one all their own.
So creative! http://damselfrau.blogspot.ca/
The scribble master Cy Twombly, who’s passionate, sparse but chaotic paintings fetch upwards of 50 million dollars, was also a delicate photographer in the last years of his life.
I’m completely captivated by his soft, sensual, moody polaroids. Definitely made me want to reinvestigate his controversial paintings with a new appreciation for the artist. Check it.
Love these! The colour palette goes perfectly with the flowing sensual weirdness of these digital collages.
Heavily influenced by the existentialism of Frederich Neitzsche, his pieces seem to pull and warp consciousness into a flowing mental mess perhaps where time does not exist. I’m really digging this.
He has a huge body of work check out his Instagram for more: https://www.instagram.com/dromsjel/
Another ‘Oh My God’ post. I was scrolling along and went woah what is that? A digital collage? Nope, painting.. Just madness!!!
Stuff like that makes me want to throw my work into the bin.
Have a nice day! Oh and check out her website for more insanity.
