The scribble master Cy Twombly, who’s passionate, sparse but chaotic paintings fetch upwards of 50 million dollars, was also a delicate photographer in the last years of his life.

I’m completely captivated by his soft, sensual, moody polaroids. Definitely made me want to reinvestigate his controversial paintings with a new appreciation for the artist. Check it.

Love these! The colour palette goes perfectly with the flowing sensual weirdness of these digital collages.

Heavily influenced by the existentialism of Frederich Neitzsche, his pieces seem to pull and warp consciousness into a flowing mental mess perhaps where time does not exist. I’m really digging this.

He has a huge body of work check out his Instagram for more: https://www.instagram.com/dromsjel/

I was browsing Pinterest and I came upon an image of some crumpled paper on a wall and was like ‘wow that’s some modern art there’ then I saw the shadows! Love a good surprise! By Kumi Yamashita.

As a collage artist I’ve been admiring his work for a long time. Some of his pieces are huge incorporating hundreds of tiny images. Just fascinating to look at. His process mixes digital and paper materials. He will sometimes scan an image, resize, and print multiple copies for an increased flexibility with the medium. Just brilliant!

I love these wonderfulyl imaginative paper shadow boxes! The dreamlike landscapes and scenes are created by artist couple Harikrishnan Panicker and Deepti Nair from Denver Colorado. They ignited the child within me today. Enjoy!

This is what the boxes look like. How they get the lighting so perfect and mystical is beyond me!
